I had to opportunity to be in the building last night at MSG. Best concert I have ever seen. No exaggeration. WIZ I will post some video and pics later tonight
Yeah, I was @ the show in VA on Sunday. Great show. I won't give too much away for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it was really amazing. I saw Lupe before, but he's gotten his energy way up since then. Did CB happen to show up @ your concert? Also, how did ya'll get a camera in? We snuck ours in after they held us up something fierce at the line. They said Kanye was apparently very serious about not having anything filmed or photographed.
I was there at the Garden last night too. And while the show itself was phenomenal, I was more concerned about what I was seeing in the audience. Teenagers. and not of the 17, 18, 19 variety. It's pretty scary for me at 26 to feel like the oldest person at a hip-hop show. It's even scarier to feel like I accidentally walked into a Hannah Montana concert. I'm not a snob about age, but I feel like I witnessed Bob Dylan going electric last night. For me at least, it seems the next generation is upon us, and that next generation doesn't know the words to "Who Shot Ya?" and that scares me.
Age ain't nothing but a number...I guess. (Sad that happened to be Aaliyah's mantra while working w/ you know who - when does that trial actually start?). When I saw it, the whole crowd was white and drunk. I wasn't exactly the oldest dude there, but I shaved before the show so I could blend in.
lmao @ Hannah Montana, though. It was that serious?
Maybe not the people who would be at a Hannah Montana concert, cause that might be real young...more like Miley Cyrus herself. I haven't seen so many unaccompanied teenage white girls since High School night at Metropolis back in the day. Put it this way, my brother asked me if I thought the concert was sponsered by Z100, based on the crowd.
I remember my first two concerts I went to without my parents. They were both at the Garden. The Diddy "No Way Out Tour" in '97 and I thought I was gonna get stabbed for stepping on someone's Air Max 95s and the Beastie Boys where I almost got trampled in the mosh pit. I loved both shows but they put the fear in me to act right. Maybe I was soft at 15, but these kids last night didnt have a care in the world.

matt, I had the same feeling. Me and boy kept saying that, look at all these young dudes I really did feel "old" in there which was weird.
