Nasir talking about the title change of his album...

  1. I think its real weak that Nas felt the pressure to change the title of his album. I understand where he's coming from though, if they don't put it out because of controversy over the title then the people can't hear it. And the people hearing it is way more important than what's in the title. I hope the music follows up the controversy. I'm waiting to hear "I Wanna Talk to Ya Part II."

  2. I knew they'd never let him release an album with the title Nigger. I was just waiting to see how long the rid was going to last.

This was the most articulate I've seen Nas in a long time. Good to see.

  3. Yeah. Cosine Jushh. Nas is so effective with words on the mic, but when you see the joker in an interview, he usually sounds like he's stuck on "See Spot run." Good to see him articulate himself so clearly.

He probably knew the album would never be able to keep the title, but the publicity was LOVELY. I mean, it was going to cost him and his record company too much money to not have his record sold in so many stores.

Smart move. Almost as smart as getting the chipped tooth fixed.
