Man next to the man...

Taking Over
written by gWiz

If you do not already know who the dude is in the picture then it is time to get familiar. I know for a fact you heard his music before but you probably had no idea it was him. Who is this man? He goes by the name of Danjahandz, he is the protege' of Timbaland yea yea the producer. Danja started out as a musician that Timbo used sometimes and then that turned into him producing songs with Tim on the regular. What makes this Virginia Beach native special? To me he did not get enough credit. Did you know he produced "Promiscuous" for Nelly Furtado? "Sexy Back" for Justin Timberlake? or "The Way I Are" for Timberland? The list goes on and on.

Danja is now starting to make a name for himself apart from Timberland by producing songs like "We Taking Over" DJ Khaled, "Gimmee More" Britney Spears, and the most recent single co producing "4 Minutes" Madonna. There are producers like this that do not get all the credit they deserve because they are the "protege", but in this case Danja's name has already started to prevail. Check the credits.

What got me about this was Timbo was all in the videos and I really believed that he produced all of these tracks. In true "Dr. Dre Chronic" fashion, he didn't exactly take credit for producing the songs but he didn't exactly correct people either.

makes you go hmmmmm....

yea man, I mean even kanye has done it. Alot of people think ye produced "down and out" for cam'ron when he didnt. He said it in a interview too how people thought he produced so he didn't say he did but at the same time he didnt say he did not. Haha his cousin did "diamonds from sierra leone" funny.

Yeah, man...good looks on this post. I've been biggin' this guy up ever since I heard what he did for Trey Songz with the "Wonder Woman" track. Your man absolutely killed that sh!t...

That was one of the reasons why 2Pac hated Dre so much. His first album on Death Row was All Eyez On Me and it was believed that it was a Pac & Dre project but Dre only did 3 out of the 24 songs.

When he was working on the song "Got My Mind Made Up" and he found out that Daz did the beat but wasn't getting credit for it, he was heated at Dre.

Crazy cuz we get so wound up about the ghostwriting thing, but it seems there's alot of Caspers out there when it comes to Producing as well.

Biting.

I think this is a lil diff than ghost writing because if these big time producers dont give these up and coming dudes a shot in the first place, they not gon get that exposure. Danjah doesnt get linked up with nelly furtado, madonna, JT, Britney Spears, etc if he's not rolling with Timbo. And if you listen to Timbo's adlibs in a lot of songs, ie "give it to me" he shouts out Danjah and says his name "me and DANJAH". And clearly timbo does some producing, etc, so its not like they just sittin back takin credit, they're contributing as well but something needs to be done so that we dont continue to get mislead.
