Dust off the tape cover son...

Nyquil Mixtape of the Week – (noun) A group of five (5) songs that you are currently sleeping on. Either you've never heard them or forgot how much you really love them. Regardless, you need to brush the dust off your CD rack and play them or add them to your collection.

1. "Bucktown (Remix)" – Smif n Wessun ft. MOP
What happens when the hardest meets the most gangster? Put the children to bed for this one.

2. "Boom" Royce the 5'9
An extremely talented and underrated rapper, Royce delivers his best over this Premo beat.

3. "The Most Beautifulest Thing in this World" – Keith Murray, The Most Beautifulest Thing in this World
How dope was this? I shouldn't even have to explain it to you. Get with the lyrical lexicon

4. "Give it to You" – Da Brat, Funkdafied
Often gets lost when the conversation about the best female rapper comes up but she deserves a seat at the table.

5. "Spit These Bars"Drag-On
He might have disappeared but at one time he was the hottest rookie in the game.

Come back every week for a new mixtape!

SHOUTS OUT to Brooklyn all day baby. Number one is for us. It don't get no illa than BCC and MOP to rep BK hard. Bed Stuy, Brownsville, East New York, Bushwick, Canarsie, Flatbush, Red Hook, Crown Heights, Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay, Fort Greene, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Clinton Hill, Williamsburg, Sunset Park and any neighborhood I left out. It's all Brooklyn, it's all love!

I'll say this... just seeing a picture of a Maxell 60 minute cassette tape just gives me all kinds of good feelings.

Remember when Walkmans came out with the Auto reverse so you didn't have to take the tape out to get to Side B?

And when stereo's came out with the dual decks so you could do the "high-speed" dubbing!

damn.

How bout putting the balled up paper in the top of the tape so you could record over it and tape Dj clue monday night mixtape or stretch armstrong

How about taping off the radio and tryna cut Angie Martinez off at the perfect moment so it didn't sound like you got it from Hot 97.

Wiz i used to do the opposite... If I made an incredible mix I broke the tabs on the top of the tape so I couldn't accidentally tape over the magic lol

yeah my timing game was on point, gotta hit the pause button before the DJ started speaking.

Yo i think the greatest moment in dubbing of the radio history was when Flex had Canibus, Nore and DMX and they were just spittin' back and forth for mad long. OMG!

PTM featured Cam'Ron and DMX "Pull It" in a previous NyQuil mixtape. I taped that off the radio. It was like someone opened up the bodega just for me on the hottest day in the summer and said I could have all the .25 icies I wanted....You can't give a kid a bigger smile. If I really searched I could probably find that tape somewhere. And I'm sure it was a Maxwell, 60 mins (unless I stepped my game up and had a 90 min).
